School Houses
On entering Phoenix House, children and staff members are placed in one of four Houses and will remain a member of that House for the duration of their time here. Houses are a mix of ages, genders, nationalities and interests – though siblings will all be in the same House.
Each House has a team of elected House Captains (pupils) Each House has a Head of House (a nominated teacher) Each House has a Founding Housemaster House points for students’ good work and positive contributions to school life are pooled. Competitions between Houses are scheduled to take place during the year, to include sporting and drama competitions, amongst other events. A trophy is awarded at the end of each year for the best House. The House system provides opportunities for students to develop leadership, responsibility, organisation, and teamwork competencies and, to compete with pupils from other Houses.
