Curriculum

Our school offers a British prep school international education which integrates a thematic and enquiry-based learning approach.

We want all children at Phoenix House to become absorbed in their studies; finding subject areas they love while challenging themselves in others is part of everyday school life. A Phoenix House education is tailored to the needs of the children and their future aspirations, and at every level we strive to make our pupils independent learners, well-prepared for the next stage in their development.

Our teaching team adapt and enhance programmes of study to ensure that each pupil is motivated, inspired and challenged. In addition to the core subjects of English and Mathematics, the PH curriculum includes Oracy, Science, Humanities, Modern Languages, Music, Computing, Art, Design & Technology and PE.

Classes are small and in this way a very individual approach can be offered to every child so that the pitch and pace is appropriate. We recognise that emotional health and academic development are interlinked, and so PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education) and SRE (Sex and Relationship Education) form part of the programme.

Our mission is to foster young people who enjoy learning, can work collaboratively, communicate clearly, and think critically.
